Michael Saucedo to reprise Juan Santiago

A legal spat is taking Michael Easton off of ABC's General Hospital

It's been 12 years since Juan Santiago last appeared in Port Charles, but now ABC has confirmed that actor Michael Saucedo is headed back to General Hospital.

ABC has confirmed that Michael Saucedo (Juan Santiago) will be returning to General Hospital, but the network is keeping quiet about what story will bring the character back into the fold.

"WOW! Thank you, thank you for all of the wonderfully kind comments I have received about my return to General Hospital," Saucedo shared on Twitter days after the news of his returned was confirmed. "It has been torture sitting on this secret for the last few weeks. To say I'm excited would be an understatement. @valentinifrank and @carlivatiron it's an honor to be a part of a show that means so much to so many. Thank you for thinking of me."

Saucedo assumed the role of Juan in June 1999, and the actor remained with the show through February 2001, when the character's burgeoning music career took him on a tour in South America.

In real life, Saucedo is the husband of GH actress Rebecca Herbst. The pair married in 2001 and have three children together. The actor's fictional alter ego also has ties to others on the GH canvas: Juan is the adopted cousin of recent addition Sabrina Santiago and the birth son of Lily Rivera and Miguel Morez.

There's no word yet on when Saucedo's Juan will make his first appearance or how long fans can expect to see the actor on-screen.
