He used to act out crazy stories as General Hospital's Griffin Munro, and now Matt Cohen will be reporting crazy stories as the new anchor and full-time correspondent of Entertainment Tonight.
Life is looking pretty good for General Hospital alum Matt Cohen (ex-Dr. Griffin Munro). The former soap hunk has just landed a job anchoring the celebrity news program Entertainment Tonight.
TV Insider reports that the actor has signed on to be a full-time correspondent for the popular entertainment news magazine show and will also co-anchor the weekend edition of the show.
As GH fans may recall, Cohen did a short stint as a co-host on ET earlier this year and has worked several red carpet events, where he has had the opportunity to interview stars like Tom Hanks, James Corden, Elisabeth Moss, Robin Thicke, Lucy Liu, Keanu Reeves, Melissa McCarthy, and Amy Poehler. His performance on the job led the show's powers that be to snatch him up full-time.

"Matt is full of charisma and curiosity, making him the perfect ET correspondent," says executive producer Erin Johnson. "We loved working with him so much as a guest correspondent this spring and summer that we had to make him a full-time member of the ET family."
Griffin won the hearts of daytime fans when he joined the cast of GH in 2016. Cohen exited the soap in March of 2019, stating at the time that he was looking for new opportunities to stretch his talents in the entertainment industry. Some of his upcoming acting projects include the film The Husband and the Hallmark Hanukkah-themed movie Holiday Date, scheduled to air on Sunday, December 22.
Cohen is following in the footsteps of soap opera alum Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery, All My Children), who has also served as a correspondent and host on ET.
