Jonathan Jackson reveals future GH plans, also releases new music video

Check out the new music video for "The Days Are Evil," a new song by General Hospital alum Jonathan Jackson (ex-Lucky Spencer), plus learn how the actor feels about making a return to Port Charles as Luke and Laura's son.

Jonathan Jackson stole the hearts of daytime viewers with his portrayal of Luke and Laura's son Lucky on General Hospital, and even though he left the world of soaps several years ago, fans are still swooning over him. Of course, that's pretty easy to do when he's always up to something swoon-worthy!

The latest exciting thing Jackson has up his sleeve is releasing a music video for his new song "The Days Are Evil," which he recorded with his band, Enation. The song is set to be included on the group's upcoming album, Ultraviolet Empire.

As fans of the actor know, he recently wrapped up a long stint as Avery Barkley on the country music drama Nashville, which begs the question as to what he's got planned next for his acting career. He briefly returned to the role of General Hospital's Lucky Spencer in 2015, but unfortunately, he says another return to the ABC soap opera is not in the cards at the moment.

In an interview released exclusively for Enation newsletter subscribers, Jackson says, "There are no current plans for me to return to GH. I always keep myself open to these possibilities, however. It was such a joy to comeback briefly for Tony Geary's [Luke Spencer] exit. General Hospital is like a family for me... I'm always open to working there again one day."

So what is next for Jackson? He says a lot is going on for Enation, and he'll be focusing on his music career in the months ahead. But after that, he's itching to get back to acting.

"We just performed our first shows in London, which was absolutely amazing for us! We also had the great honor of opening for Echo & the Bunnymen on their UK tour," the actor enthuses. "The last show of the tour was at the Royal Albert Hall. It was an experience we will never forget. I have books that I'm finishing at the moment. I also have some screenplays that I've been working on with Richard [his brother and Enation bandmate] for the last few years we're hoping to develop into films or mini-series. I'm excited about what's next for me as an actor as well. Playing the same character for six years has its advantages and disadvantages. I'm looking forward to digging into a new role."
