In the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, In the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, soap opera alum Sarah Brown (ex-Madison James, Days of our Lives; ex-Agnes Jones, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Claudia Zacchara, General Hospital) reveals she was sexually assaulted in the workplace.
As a slew of sexual harassment allegations are being made against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, soap opera star Sarah Joy Brown (ex-Madison James, Days of our Lives; ex-Agnes Jones, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Claudia Zacchara, General Hospital) reveals that she, too, has been a victim of sexual harassment in the workplace.
The California native took to Twitter to share her harrowing story, beginning with: "Having had experiences in line w/ other women who are working in/for Hollywood I appreciate the need for a safe environment for all. #Brave."
She then went on to state: "I reported a Director who assaulted me several years ago my representative advised me it was best not to make trouble if I wanted to work.... I'd like to add my voice of encouragement to all the women and men standing up against this inexcusable behavior."

Although sharing her experience was a brave move in and of itself, Brown states that she will go even further to fight against these types of circumstances happening to other women in the entertainment industry.
In response to a tweet by former Walt Disney Chief Michael Eisner calling Weinstein an "incorrigible bully" and a follow-up tweet by filmmaker/journalist Wendy Dent that asks Eisner to do an investigation into his companies to find other men in power who act similarly deplorably, Brown tweeted: "I'd like to personally tell you what I've seen at Disney and ABC if you're prepared to fix it."
Brown has yet to reveal exactly who sexually assaulted her and whether or not the person is connected to the soap opera world. This is a developing story, so keep checking back to Soap Central for updates.
