Get ready to go under the sea, because ABC has dropped a promo teaser for its upcoming special event The Little Mermaid Live!," in which General Hospital alum John Stamos (ex-Blackie Parrish) plays Chef Louis.
John Stamos has proven that he's got legs as an actor in series like Glee, Full House, and General Hospital (ex-Blackie Parrish), but can he swim with the likes of Disney? It seems so, as ABC has cast him as Chef Louis in its upcoming live version of The Little Mermaid -- and he looks smashing in the part.
The network proudly introduced the cast of the family-friendly event in a first-look teaser, which includes Stamos alongside Auli'i Cravalho as Ariel, Queen Latifah as Ursula, Shaggy as Sebastian, and Graham Phillips as Prince Eric.
"Can't wait for you to join us under the sea," tweeted ABC of the special live event, set to air on Tuesday, November 5.

Stamos also took to social media with news about ABC's first-look teaser trailer, writing, "Hee, hee, hee- ha, ha, HAW! So excited to bring Chef Louis to life!"
The official description of The Little Mermaid Live! states that it is a "never-before-seen hybrid format that will take viewers on a magical adventure under the sea as live musical performances by a star-studded cast are interwoven into the broadcast of the original feature film. The live musical event will feature beautifully intricate sets and costumes by three-time Emmy Award-winning designer Zaldy, with music from the original animated film and the Tony Award-nominated Broadway stage version, originally composed by eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken."
Stamos played the role of GH's Blackie from 1982 to 1984. Fans may recall he took part in storylines like playing the drums for the fictional Port Charles band Blackie and the Riff Raff, and being involved in the accidental death of the character's girlfriend, Lou (Danielle von Zerneck) -- which landed Blackie in jail and took Stamos off the canvas. After leaving GH, Stamos found mainstream fame as Uncle Jesse on the 1980s sitcom Full House and subsequent roles on shows like Glee and Grandfathered.
