Alley Mills hops from B&B to GH

Alley Mills has joined the cast of ABC's General Hospital. The actress previously played the role of Pam on The Bold and the Beautiful, a role she originated in 2006.

It's a casting shift that no one saw coming. Alley Mills, who has been a part of The Bold and the Beautiful for 15 years, has joined the cast of General Hospital.

What's even more intriguing is that General Hospital is keeping the identity of Mills's character a secret. That, of course, doesn't stop fans from speculating. [Click here to skip ahead to an update about Mills' role.]

As the news of Mills joining GH spread across social media, fan speculation had the actress playing everyone from Esme's nanny to the hook-toting killer. Other scenarios questioned if Mills might be taking over an existing role on the show.

Outside of daytime, Mills is known for playing Norma Arnold, the mother in the coming-of-age series The Wonder Years. She also had a recurring role on Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.

General Hospital is also not yet revealing when Mills will pop up in Port Charles, saying only that it will be before the end of the month.

UPDATE (October 28, 2022): Alley Mills made her General Hospital debut on October 28, 2022, in the role of Heather Webber. The role had previously been played by Robin Mattson.
