General Hospital alum Robert Palmer Watkins (ex-Dillon Quartermaine) is thankful for the outpouring of support he has received after suffering a devastating fire to his home.
Former General Hospital star Robert Palmer Watkins (ex-Dillon Quartermaine) hasn't had an easy go of it lately, as he and his roommates lost their house in a fire.
A Go Fund Me page explains that "an electrical fire struck the home and lives of Robert Watkins and his roommates Saturday, September 21st. There was total loss in one of the roommate's bedrooms... the remainder of the home is not livable due to smoke and water damage."
The page goes on to say, "Fortunately, each of the roommates have found temporary housing but they are in dire need of financial assistance with relocation, replacement of essentials, and the building of their next chapters. Like many aspiring artists in Hollywood, these young men often live paycheck-to-paycheck with little to no emergency relief funds. While extremely untimely, they were in a short period of no rental insurance coverage as new roommates had recently moved in and out."

Fortunately for the group of young men, Watkins' daytime colleagues have rallied to help get him and his roommates back on their feet. GH star Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) shared the link to the Go Fund Me page created for Watkins along with the tweet, "Hey guys @Robertpwatkins experienced a major loss recently when his house was condemned due to a fire. He could use our aid. Thank you."
The Young and the Restless star Camryn Grimes (Mariah Copeland) also shared the Go Fund Me link with the message: "Hey all! Please help out my friends who've been displaced by a fire & have to start over! They're amazing talented guys and they need help!"
Watkins, who is currently living in an RV, responded to Wright, Grimes, and other stars like Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson, Y&R; ex-Valerie Spencer, GH) who shared similar messages. He wrote, "I've lost track of how many @GeneralHospital cast mates and viewers/friends have donated and shouted out support for my roomies and me through this house fire situation. Thank you guys. It's been hard but we are survivors. I feel the love and please know that your support is [heart emoji]."
