WATCH: GH's Kathleen Gati boards zombie infested plane for new series

General Hospital star Kathleen Gati (Dr. Liesl Obrecht) has joined the new Fear the Walking Dead offshoot Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462.

General Hospital's Dr. Liesl Obrecht has seen her fair share of scary medical situations, but could she handle a zombie apocalypse? The world may never know, but we're getting the next best thing. Her portrayer, Kathleen Gati, is a star of the new The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead web series offshoot Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462.

The 16-part web series, which debuted last night with its first episode (see below), follows a group of airplane passengers who realize one of their fellow travelers is infected.

"'Flight 462' is a great extension of the world of Fear and will engage fans across multiple platforms with another riveting story set at the start of the fall of civilization," said Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV. "We are thrilled to be collaborating with Dave Erickson and David Wiener on another piece of original content. Watching how they'll bring one of these new characters to the second season of Fear will be really exciting for viewers to follow."
