The Labine Era at Guiding Light continues with more shakeups. The latest dismissal comes as Patti D'Arbanville (Selena Davis) has been let go.
The actress released a statement on her web site revealing that her stint on Guiding Light had come to an end after just two-and-a-half years.
"I thought that I would take this opportunity to be the first to let all of you know that I will be leaving the show in October. Many factors have entered into this decision, and although I am saddened, I only want what is best for this show. I was let go gently and with great respect by our wonderful producer Robert Kochman. He is such a gentleman. I have the utmost respect for him , he did it with grace and love. My character it seems, has been written into a corner and our new writers were at odds as to how to resolve it. I guess it just all boils down to story and what propels the show along or what hinders it. I will miss everyone so much... I had a wonderful time there and the GL family has helped me through some really difficult times. I will remember this always as one of the bright points in my life. I feel that the show allowed me to do some of the best work in my career and it was always a joy and a challenge. I want to say right now that I have NEVER felt so much warmth from fans as I have felt with you. You are a joy to me. And I am honored that I was able to entertain you for the time that we had. Thank you SOO much for all of your support through these last two and a half years. We have had some crazy times and I will never forget any of you. I hope that we get to stay in touch and that you will watch for me in my other endeavors. I will be thinking of you." With All My Love, Patti
D'Arbanville's final on-air appearance is November 2nd.
