As many General Hospital fans correctly guessed, the evil Peter August has made a return! Hear what portrayer Wes Ramsey has to say about his devious alter ego being back on the canvas.
This week has already been a whopper for General Hospital fans, and it's only just begun! Not only did Kirsten Storms make her much anticipated on-screen return as Maxie Jones following a recovery from real-life brain surgery, but viewers of the ABC soap opera also saw the return of Wes Ramsey in the role of previously presumed-dead criminal mastermind Peter August.
As was seen during Monday's episode, Maxie visited Nina (Cynthia Watros) in Nixon Falls and almost caught a glimpse of Sonny (Maurice Benard) -- who has amnesia and believes himself to be Mike. That tense moment was followed by another in which a mysterious somebody lurked in the shadows, watching Maxie -- a somebody who turned out to be Peter, who both Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) thought was dead and disposed of!
Many GH viewers had a feeling that Ramsey's time on the ABC soap opera wasn't really over, despite the fact that Peter appeared to be brutally murdered in June and his dead-looking body was stashed in a freezer. So, his return appearance is only somewhat shocking -- unlike what Peter might have in mind for revenge on those in Port Charles who've wronged him, which could be super shocking!
After Monday's episode aired, Ramsey took to Instagram with a screenshot of Peter emerging from the shadows, along with the tease, "Well, well, well...let the games... commence."
General Hospital fans will have to stay tuned to find out what Peter has in mind for his next reign of terror -- or if the powers that be actually plan to redeem him now that the character is back on the canvas.
