General Hospital's James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine) will once again be pulling double duty; his Disney series, The Villains of Valley View, has been picked up for season two.
General Hospital character Valentin Cassadine might be pulling another disappearing act soon because portrayer James Patrick Stuart is going to be one busy man in the months ahead. The actor's popular Disney Channel series,The Villains of Valley View, has been renewed for a second season.
According to Variety, season two of the multi-cam comedy -- which follows a family of supervillains forced to hide their powers and adopt "normalcy" in suburbia -- will begin production this fall in Los Angeles. New episodes from season one will resume airing on Friday, October 7.
"It isn't hard to see why audiences have fallen in love with the villainous Madden family," said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television. "Despite a penchant for utilizing their superpowers in everyday life, Amy and family ultimately care about and support one another. Even though life can be messy, ridiculous, and sometimes frightening, the Maddens demonstrate the (super)power of family and togetherness."

Isabella Pappas will be returning as teenage supervillain Havoc, whose family was forced to change their identities and relocate to a sleepy Texas suburb after she stood up to the head of the League of Villains. Kayden Muller-Janssen will be returning as Havoc's neighbor, Hartley, who's been helping his new friend (now going incognito as Amy) hide her superpowers and quell her villainous nature in favor of something she and the rest of her family have fought against all their lives: being normal.
In addition to Pappas and Muller-Janssen, returning for season two are series regulars Lucy Davis as Eva/Surge, Malachi Barton as Colby/Flashform, Reed Horstmann as Jake/Chaos, and -- of course -- James Patrick Stuart as Havoc/Amy's dad, Vic/Kraniac.
As fans may recall, Stuart took a short break from GH earlier this year to film season one of The Villains of Valley View, but he promised from the beginning that his new gig would not spell a permanent end to his time in Port Charles. There's nothing to indicate that this time will be any different, so fans can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that there's probably still plenty of story ahead for the actor and his beloved GH alter ego.
Stuart has been playing the role of GH's Valentin since 2016. Some of his other credits include Amphibia, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Monsters vs. Aliens, Supernatural, 90210, The Closer, and Will Cortlandt on All My Children.
