The Port Charles Police Department will get a new member next month. Actress Rebeka Montoya has been cast as rookie cop Delores. There are plans to expand the PCPD even more in the weeks and months ahead.
General Hospital has cast Rebeka Montoya in the recurring role of Delores Padilla, a member of the Port Charles Police Department.
This will be Montoya's first daytime role, but the actress has made numerous guest appearances in primetime -- and she has several GH connections. Montoya appeared in the online series Heroes: Going Postal opposite Kiko Ellsworth (ex-Stan Johnson) and as a guest star on Las Vegas, which starred Vanessa Marcil (Brenda Barrett). In 2009, the actress appeared in the mini-series, The Storm, with Erin Chambers (Siobhan McKenna). Other credits include Eve, Castle, and Southland.
Last month, General Hospital released a casting call for Delores. In the notice, Delores was described as a rookie cop who is "stubborn with a no-nonsense approach, but not afraid to bend the rules when needed."
Montoya has already taped her first General Hospital episode. Those scenes, taped on August 18, are scheduled to air on September 27.
