Willey's return to daytime was a huge success, and soap fans applauded the move. Willey first appeared on GH in July 2023 when best friends Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) went to Pine Valley, PA, looking to uncover information about Lucy's boyfriend, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight). The ladies landed in hot water when Jackson caught Felicia breaking into his law office and cracking his safe, hoping to find out what Martin was hiding, but instead, Felicia found a file labeled Maquillage.
Willey took to social media after his first GH appearance to thank fans for their support. "I am at a loss for words (a very rare condition in my case) over the outpouring of generous, kind and supportive posts," he wrote at the time.
Does the return of legal eagle Jackson Montgomery mean that viewers will finally learn the identity of Martin Grey's mystery ex-wife #3? Will the lady from Pine Valley also have ties to Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), who is currently trying to dig up information to use in a lawsuit against Lucy's company, Deception? Viewers will have to stay tuned.
Walt Willey first appeared as Jackson Montgomery in 1987. He remained in the role until AMC's final episode aired on ABC on September 23, 2011. Jackson was also spotted on another ABC soap, The City, during a handful of 1996 episodes.
