Nicolas Bechtel bids farewell to General Hospital's Spencer Cassadine for the second time this summer.
It seems like just yesterday that General Hospital's Nicolas Bechtel (Spencer Cassadine) bid farewell to the ABC soap for the summer -- maybe because it actually happened just a little over a month ago. And now the young actor is exiting the soap once more.
GH's Twitter feed made the announcement over the weekend, writing, "Help us bid farewell (for now) to our very own Spencer Cassadine."
The post was accompanied by a brief video of Bechtel explaining that he's taking a break from Port Charles to work on his Disney Channel series, Stuck in the Middle.
"It's been an amazing run," the actor says of his most recent GH stint. "You'll see me soon, for sure."
Back in June, Bechtel tweeted a photo of himself exiting the GH studio along with the message, "Blessed with the most awesome TV family. We had a good run. See you next summer."
At this time, it's unclear if Bechtel was unexpectedly asked back to the ABC soap opera after having wrapped earlier this summer or if the quick return was planned. Either way, viewers get to have a little bit more of Spencer on the canvas -- and that's never a bad thing.
