Big congratulations are in order for soap star Michelle Stafford (Nina Clay, General Hospital; ex-Phyllis Summers, The Young and the Restless), who just announced that she's expecting another baby.
Guess who decided to expand her family? General Hospital's Michelle Stafford (Nina Clay; ex-Phyllis Summers, The Young and the Restless), who just announced via social media that she's expecting her second child.
The actress took to Instagram to share the news that she and five-year-old daughter Natalia -- born via surrogate -- are excited about the little-one-to-be. Well, mostly excited, as an Instagram pic featured a not-so-happy Natalia. "Ok, so let me get this straight... What you're telling me is that I have to share my toys...?" Stafford wrote as a joke caption to go along with photo/announcement.
"#babynumber2#yepitstrue#noimnotkidding#imthinkingthesamething#yepimcrazy#butyepimlucky#SOlucky#trulygrateful#trulyamiracle," she continued. "I may not be certain of many things in my life but the one thing I am certain of is that I'm a good mother... I am SO grateful to have more love in my life."

During Stafford's June appearance on the Kroll Call podcast, host and Soap Central founder Dan J Kroll asked her if she'd always wanted to be a parent.
"Gosh, you know what? I didn't know what to expect! I really didn't. I just knew that I wanted to be responsible for another human being in a different way than you're responsible for your friends or for a boyfriend or partner, husband, wife. In just a different way, I wanted to be responsible for somebody's future, you know what I mean, and for what that person puts into the world," Stafford explained. "So that's where it kind of began and ended, and that was very strong for me. That was a very strong desire, to be responsible for another person. And it's just -- you know, my daughter's just so... I can't say she's my best friend, because she's not -- she's my daughter. But it's a very, very special relationship. It's such a special relationship, and so wild. It's such a wild ride being a parent."
To hear Stafford discuss more about parenting, her thoughts on Tony Geary's exit from GH, and how she kept her first child a secret for years, you can listen to the entire interview for free at KrollCall.com.
