Scorpio rising: Tristan Rogers back to work at GH

Watch out for Robert Scorpio because his portrayer, Tristan Rogers, has made his return to General Hospital.

General Hospital fans are in for a treat, because Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) is back at General Hospital.

"On the set," he tweeted on July 24. "Things look good."

Because the popular actor also portrays The Young and the Restless' Colin Atkinson, fans weren't immediately sure which set he was referring to -- until he confirmed he was indeed back in Port Charles.

One of the nice-looking things Rogers may have noticed on the GH set is the ABC soap's new cameras. Executive producer Frank Valentini took to Twitter with news of the upgrade on July 23, writing, "First day shooting with our new cameras. Very exciting!"

Rogers originated the role of Robert Scorpio back in 1980 and has been in and out of Port Charles since that time. His last visit happened back in April, when Robert surprised Anna (Finola Hughes) and Jason (Steve Burton) in Switzerland.

There's no word yet on what brings the character back to the canvas this time around, but many viewers are hoping it will bring Anna -- who's supposedly visiting her daughter Robin -- back to Port Charles, as well.

What do you think about Rogers bringing Robert Scorpio back to Port Charles? Why do you think the character is returning to the canvas?
