Jack Wagner isn't happy with the way his most recent General Hospital return played out -- and the actor is sharing that frustration on Twitter. Wagner originated the role of Frisco Jones in 1984. He's also appeared on Santa Barbara and Sunset Beach, and as Nick Marone on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Though his time in Port Charles has come and gone, Jack Wagner (Frisco Jones) is just now opening up about his recent return stint to help celebrate the show's 50th anniversary. The actor said it was "about time" that he opened up about some things.
"June held the most loss, sadness, grieving, [and] fear I've ever experienced," Wagner shared on Twitter. "My survival skills I learned as a child set [into] motion the patterns I've acted out in my adult life. Addiction manifests itself in so many areas of my life."
Wagner went on to explain his recent missing in action status from Twitter, explaining that he had been missing "because of this process." Wagner did not elaborate on what he might have been dealing with, though the actor has been quite candid about substance abuse issues in his past.

Regarding General Hospital, Wagner said, "Very disappointed in the powers that b @ GH. The ratings momentum around the 50th was blown, BADLY. [S]orry GH fans we were misled. The way Frisco was written out was wrong [and] out of character. I could [have] f**kin screamed [and] should [have] but didn't want 2 make waves. Shame on me. It's my fault. I should [have] had some sack [and] stood up 4 the character [and] his history, but was a total pussy. I apologize GH [and] Frisco fans my bad."
In story featured around GH's 50th anniversary this past spring, Frisco returned to town to try to repair his relationship with Felicia. That courtship included taking to the stage at the show's Nurses Ball to sing Wagner's hit song, "All I Need."
There has been no indication that Wagner's alter ego will be returning to General Hospital. Wagner, meanwhile, landed a primetime project earlier this year. He will be seen on See Dad Run, a new Nick at Nite sitcom starring Scott Baio of Happy Days and Charles in Charge fame.
Wagner first appeared on General Hospital in 1984 and aired on the show through 1991. He later returned in 1994 and 1995. The actor also appeared for nine years on The Bold and the Beautiful, where he played the role of Dominick "Nick" Marone. Elsewhere in daytime, Wagner appeared on Santa Barbara and Sunset Beach. Outside of daytime, primetime viewers know him as Dr. Peter Burns from Melrose Place.
