General Hospital alum John Stamos (ex-Blackie) has voluntarily checked himself into rehab following a DUI arrest last month.
Fans were shocked when General Hospital alum John Stamos (ex-Blackie) was arrested for driving under the influence last month, and the next shocker is that the former Full House star has voluntarily checked himself into rehab.
Stamos reportedly checked into a residential program for the treatment of substance abuse in late June and is "focusing on his health," a source tells People.
Friends and costars of the actor seem equally surprised at the recent incidents, though one reveals to the website that the death of his mother, Loretta, last September "did a number on him. It's been a hard time."
In addition to his upcoming Fox series, Grandfathered, Stamos has been prepping for the highly anticipated Netflix Full House spin-off titled Fuller House. Says his costar, Candace Cameron Bure, "I love him. We love him. And if this is what he needs to spend time to get things together, we're all supportive and glad he's there and know that things will be good when he comes back. I support him, and we'll support him."
Stamos is scheduled to appear in court on the DUI charges on September 11.
