In what's being described as an emotional blast from the past, General Hospital is bringing back Michael Sutton in the role of Stone Cates.
Longtime General Hospital fans are about to experience a serious trip down memory lane because the ABC soap opera is bringing back the beloved character of Stone Cates.
Michael Sutton is reprising his role as Robin Scorpio's (Kimberly McCullough) deceased ex for a story arc set to play out this August, TV Line reports.
"Sonny & Stone once again like the good old days," Sutton shared on Instagram. "Always a pleasure to work with my brother @mauricebenard."

The character is quite famous to daytime viewers, having tragically died of an AIDS-related illness in 1995 in one of the genre's most acclaimed storylines. No information on exactly how Stone will reappear has been released, but its reportedly tied into "a great time of crisis" for Stone's former guardian/brother figure, Sonny (Maurice Benard).
The actor, who was nominated for an Emmy for the role he played from 1993 to 1995, briefly returned to Port Charles in the fall of 2010 when Robin was trapped in a well and had a hallucination of her former love. But that's not the only time Stone has been a topic of conversation. GH has kept the memory of Stone alive with its annual Nurses' Ball. In fact, McCullough's Robin gave a moving speech during the 2016 event that had millions of GH fans across the nation in tears.
"I got choked up during Robin's speech and in no way, shape or form was I planning on that," McCullough shared at the time. "I was standing there and everybody was looking at me, and although most of the people were new, there were some anchors that I had in the audience, like Finola Hughes [Anna Devane] and Lynn [Herring, Lucy Coe]. I looked at Lynn and it was like I was transported back 20 years, and I was like, 'Wow. Lucy was such a big part of the Robin/Stone story, which was the impetus for the ball."
