Two months after announcing that he and his wife had separated, former General Hospital star Steve Burton has filed for divorce from wife Sheree Gustin.
Steve Burton (Harris Michaels, Beyond Salem; ex-Jason Morgan, General Hospital) has filed for divorce from Sheree Gustin, his wife of 23 years.
According to documents obtained by Two months after that separation date, Burton shared that Sheree was pregnant -- and then dropped a soapy bombshell: he was not the father. Burton also publicly revealed for the first time that he and Sheree had separated. "I wanted to clear something up," he shared on Instagram. "Sheree and I are separated. She recently announced that she's expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve." Steve and Sheree have three children together, including two minor children, 16-year-old Jack and 8-year-old Brooklyn. Burton is seeking joint legal and physical custody of the kids. Burton is also requesting that the court nix either party's ability to get spousal support once they are legally divorced. It's been a tumultuous twelve months for Burton. In November, he was let go from ABC's General Hospital for failure to comply with the show's COVID protocols. Burton returned to the world of daytime this week with the launch of the second installment of the Days of our Lives spinoff Beyond Salem. Burton reprises the role of Harris Michaels, a role he last played on DAYS in 1988 and a role that was his very first in daytime. What do you think about Steve Burton's decision to file for divorce?
