It's been years since they have worked together on General Hospital, but Kelly Monaco and Tony Geary have remained friends.
Nine years ago this summer, Tony Geary spoke his last words on General Hospital as Luke Spencer disappeared into the fog to embark on a solo journey to find himself. In 2017, Tracy found Luke in an Amsterdam caf, and we saw Luke again for one brief moment, although he didn't utter a word.
Geary retired from show business to live his best life in Amsterdam but was recently visited by a former GH co-star. Kelly Monaco took to Instagram on July 9 to share a picture from her most recent travels -- a snap with Geary overlooking a canal.
"Visiting my dearest friend...TG," was all Monaco wrote alongside the photo. Multiple GH stars chimed in when they spotted the post.

"I love you both," Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) wrote, while Kimberly McCullough (Robin Scorpio Drake) commented with "Legends." Michelle Stafford (ex-Nina Reeves, GH/Phyllis Summers, The Young and the Restless) and Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli) simply responded with heart emojis.
While Geary and Monaco never had a big storyline together on GH, they did cross paths during several plots where their characters overlapped. Monaco's Sam was also romantically involved with Lucky Spencer, Luke's son. After young Jake was presumed dead, Sam thought she might have been driving the car that hit him, but it turned out to be Luke. In the current story, Sam is in love with Dante Falconeri, who was once married to Luke's daughter, Lulu.
Although some fans would like to see Geary back on GH as Luke, Geary made it clear that he needed a change in his life following back surgery nearly a decade ago. With the eight-time Daytime Emmy winner enjoying his retirement, General Hospital killed off Luke, and he has been presumed dead since 2022. But Geary's on-screen son Jonathan Jackson will be stepping back into the role of Lucky this summer... so it may be important to remember that dead doesn't always mean dead on a soap opera.
Do you want to see Luke return to Port Charles? Would you like Lucky to show up and reveal Luke to be alive, even if we only saw him for a fleeting moment?
