Kate Mansi had quite a surprise for fans on the Fourth of July when a little pic revealed a big rock.
General Hospital's Kate Mansi is having a better week than her Port Charles alter ego, Kristina Corinthos-Davis. The actress took to her Instagram stories on Independence Day to show off a new accessory on her finger -- a gorgeous engagement ring.
In the snap, Mansi is biting into what appears to be a wrap sandwich, but her ring finger is prominently featured, revealing an emerald-cut diamond ring. She also included a pic that her new fianc, Matt McInnis, shared. In it, the happy couple is embracing, and Mansi is also sporting the ring.
"Apparently, today was a holiday, but I think July 3rd was much better," McInnes wrote.

Mansi's road to happiness had some bumps along the way, including a marriage during COVID in 2020 that ended in a shocking divorce. Mansi and her then-fianc, Blake Levin, whom she met while playing Abigail DiMera on Days of our Lives, had a big wedding planned before the quarantine began. They had to keep changing the date before deciding to quietly wed without telling anyone. They still planned a larger celebration for their family and friends.
"Six weeks before, he had a crisis of conscience and didn't want to go through with it," Mansi explained to GH co-star and on-screen dad Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) on his YouTube mental health series State of Mind with Maurice Benard.
After that, they separated, and a year later, Levin asked for a divorce. "I was broken," she told Benard. "It was brutal. I felt a lot of shame. I felt like I was a failure."
Happily, Mansi has found love again with McInnis, and her co-star Kristen Vaganos (Molly Lansing-Davis) couldn't be more thrilled.
"The best news to ever hit the internet!!!!!" Vaganos commented on McInnes' post.
Kate Mansi's daytime career started on Days of our Lives in 2011. Five years later, the actress stunned fans by announcing that she'd be leaving the show. She was named Outstanding Supporting Actress at the Daytime Emmys in 2017. She returned in 2018 and left again in 2019, and she made appearances on Internet-only special shows in 2019 and 2020. Her General Hospital run began in 2023 when the show announced that she would be taking over the role of Kristina, which had been played by Lexi Ainsworth.
