How General Hospital's Kin Shriner keeps busy while recovering from surgery

Kin Shriner is making the best of a bad situation after another foot surgery -- and even felt like he was at General Hospital.

In 2019, longtime General Hospital star Kin Shriner underwent a four-hour foot surgery after injuring himself in an accident. On July 1, Shriner tweeted that he was back in the hospital for another foot surgery, but he seemed to be in good spirits.

The actor shared a video of the hospital halls on the day of his surgery, explaining why he was there and what the halls reminded him of.

"This looks like General Hospital," Shriner said. "But I'm here for another foot surgery."

The next day, Shriner was recovering at home and had settled in quite nicely with a collection of things to keep him busy. In another tweeted video, he showed fans his new scooter as well as what appeared to be his bandaged leg.

"Thank God for TCM," Shriner said referring to the Turner Classic Movies channel. "I had my foot surgery yesterday, so I watched Airplane 1, 2, and 3."

Shriner then panned to his TV screen and detailed his entertainment more. "There's Jack Lemmon," he said. "So, I'll be watching movies for a while until I...you know...in two weeks, I'll be back in business."

After Shriner had his surgery five years ago, he used a scooter to get around as his foot healed, as did an injured Scotty when he was on-screen. On June 25, 2019, Shriner tweeted about Scotty's new wheels, but also offered a quick television history lesson.

"Color TV #OnThisDay debuted 68 years ago today," he wrote, including pics of classic TV sets and Scotty in action with the late Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie Spencer). "I was lucky to be on @GeneralHospital today. Scotty on scooter and all to celebrate anniversary!!"

Soap Central wishes Shriner a speedy recovery so we can maybe see him back on GH, speeding around on his scooter.
