EXITING: Emmy winner Billy Miller out at General Hospital

He started his time on General Hospital as Jason Morgan, but after five years, Billy Miller and his alter ego Drew Cain are set to exit the ABC soap opera.

Emmy-winning General Hospital star Billy Miller (Drew Cain) is exiting the ABC soap. Miller joined General Hospital in October 2014 as a back-from-the-dead Jason Morgan. For the next three years, Port Charles celebrated Jason's return -- until the real Jason returned to town in 2017 and Miller's character was revealed to be Andrew Cain, Jason's twin brother.

This isn't the first time that the actor's future with GH was brought into question. When actor Steve Burton reprised the role of Jason in 2017, Internet rumors swirled that Miller was unhappy at GH (or, in others, that the ABC soap wanted Miller gone) and that he'd soon be written out. Miller granted a rare interview with Soap Opera Digest and shot down the rumors, saying he "wouldn't stick around [General Hospital] if it wasn't really cool."

Miller got his start in daytime as All My Children's villainous Richie Novak back in 2007. Soon after his character was killed off, the actor landed the role of Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless. During his five years at Y&R, Miller earned five Daytime Emmy nominations, with three of those nods earning him Emmy gold. Miller's Emmy victories included 2010 and 2013 Supporting Actor crowns, and a 2014 Lead Actor win.

When Miller joined GH in October 2014, his addition to the ABC soap had been rumored for months.
