Kirsten Storms is headed back to General Hospital. The actress, who took some time off for personal reasons, will be back later this summer.
Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones), who took a temporary leave from General Hospital back in May, is headed back to Port Charles.
A show rep now confirms that Storms "will return to GH" in early July, and fans can "expect to see her on air the first week of August."
In late May, Storms posted a statement to fans to let them know what was going on: "First, thank you for the outpouring of love and support," Storms said in the statement. "Second, yes I am taking a little break from work due to some skin issues I've been having. My doctors say my breakouts are due to stress, but shouldn't take too long to get under control. (I can say that I'm on the better end of it now.) However, it was becoming too difficult for GH to cover up. And we all know in this biz appearance is important. In the meantime I look forward to seeing Molly on screen as I take the next few weeks to heal. Again -- thanks for the love and you will see me again in no time!"
During Storms's absence, Molly Burnett (ex-Melanie, DAYS) will be temporarily playing the role before Storms resumes taping.
