Check out the dramatic makeover former General Hospital star Jeffrey Vincent Parise (ex-Carlos/Joe Rivera) had in order to bring his brand-new big screen alter ego to life.
Legendary projects call for legendary changes. At least, that is the mentality of former General Hospital star Jeffrey Vincent Parise (ex-Carlos/Joe Rivera), who recently underwent a very dramatic makeover for a movie he's filming.
The Indiana native has been sharing behind-the-scenes photos from his new job, which he hasn't named but has been teasing for several weeks. And one of the photos shows the actor with a new hairdo that makes him virtually unrecognizable.
"When two-time Academy Award nominated director Roland Joff asks you to shave and cut your hair for a role, you shave and cut your hair for the role," he posted. "Working with this legend is another dream come true."

The director Parise refers to is known for the Oscar-winning films The Killing Fields and The Mission. His most recent projects include the film The Forgiven, the mini-series Texas Rising, and the series Sun Records. An interesting sidenote for daytime fans: Joff made his directorial debut on the English soap opera Coronation Street.
Parise also shared a photo of "just a coupla guys hanging out on set" that includes actor and musician Leo Howard, who has appeared in films like Conan the Barbarian and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
No other details about Parise's current film are available at this time, other than the fact that he has tagged his posts in Atlanta, Georgia, and says Nicholas Kazan and Leslie Greif are writers.
Parise joined GH in 2013 as charming villain Carlos Rivera. After his character was killed off, the powers that be brought him back as Carlos' twin brother Joe -- but sadly, he only lasted a few episodes. Since leaving the ABC soap opera in 2016, he has landed roles in series like The Detour, Supernatural, and 13 Reasons Why.
What do you think about Parise's new look? Do you prefer him with a haircut and shave? What kind of project do you think he's working on with Roland Joff? Do you hope the actor will one day return to GH?
