Which old character will show up on our General Hospital screens again? The possibilities are endless.
There are few things soap fans love more than a beloved character returning to the show. It's like seeing an old friend and catching up. Now, General Hospital Executive Producer Frank Valentini has dropped a big hint about a major comeback.
Valentini caught up with ABC 7 on the Daytime Emmy red carpet the night of June 7 with the news.
"A former cast member is coming back," Valentini said. "And I think that the audience will go crazy for him."

That one comment has fans speculating all over social media as they wonder who this cast member could be. Knowing that the character is male also narrows the choices down considerably, but somehow not nearly enough.
Some have suggested John J. York (Mac Scorpio), but GH already announced his return to the set last month. Can York even be considered a former cast member when he hadn't left the show and just took a leave of absence to undergo cancer treatment?
Bryan Craig's Morgan Corinthos is another possibility. The character was killed off in 2016 when Olivia Jerome planted a bomb in her brother Julian's car. Acting erratic because he was off his bipolar meds, Morgan drank and stole Julian's car, leading to his alleged fiery death. However, a body was never found, leaving the door open for the character's return.
Then we have William deVry's Julian Jerome. Morgan's dad, Sonny, chased Julian onto a bridge outside a Secaucus, New Jersey, bus station after Julian had been shot multiple times by multiple people. Sonny was the last person to put a bullet into Julian before the bridge collapsed, plunging them both into the river below. Sonny survived and washed up in Nixon Falls, Pennsylvania, and Julian did not -- or did he?
Ian Buchanan's Duke Lavery is another possibility. We last saw the ghost of Duke in the same bus station as Julian, taunting the man who was behind his death. As fans know, Julian ordered Carlos Rivera to kill Duke back in 2015. Yes, there was a body, but this is a soap, so you never know what could happen.
Jonathan Jackson as Lucky Spencer is another character fans have suggested. Since Lucky isn't even dead, it would be easy for him to return from Africa and pay attention to his son, Aiden. He has barely been there for Aiden since he was a small child, and their relationship needs to be explored.
Now, it becomes a waiting game to see just who Valentini was referring to.
