General Hospital viewers will have to forgo Margaux, as Elizabeth Hendrickson has left the role of D.A. Dawson and is off to her next adventure.
General Hospital's Margaux Dawson came onto the Port Charles scene ready to rock, but it looks like the D.A.'s tough-as-nails courtroom appearances -- and her future potential on the canvas -- are about to come to an end. Portrayer Elizabeth Hendrickson has announced that she has wrapped the role she originated in May of 2018.
"It was an incredible year at General Hospital playing Margaux," the actress shared on Instagram. "Thanks to all my new friends. It was truly one of the best experiences I've ever had. On to the next!"

Hendrickson's addition to GH was embraced by ABC soap fans, who know the actress from her work as All My Children twins Frankie and Maggie. However, her Port Charles alter ego was a bit hard to embrace. Sparks between DA Dawson and both Drew (Billy Miller) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) didn't quite ignite with fans -- even though Benard said he liked the idea of Sonny and Margaux.

As for Hendrickson's next adventure, spoilers indicate that the Emmy nominee will be returning to her role as The Young and the Restless' Chloe Mitchell. The CBS soap opera has recently brought back several characters connected to Chloe -- including Greg Rikaart in the role of Kevin Fisher, Melissa Claire Egan in the role of Chelsea Lawson, and Mark Grossman in the role of Adam Newman. With these players back in Genoa City, there should be plenty of exciting material for Hendrickson and her celebrated acting chops. Though her return to Y&R has yet to be officially confirmed, Hendrickson posted a photo of herself with Greg Rikaart along with the caption, "[There's] a lot more to come!"
