Robert Palmer Watkins film releases first teaser trailer

General Hospital's Robert Palmer Watkins (Dillon Quartermaine) is taking a break from the ABC soap for the film Last Three Days.

It's been nearly a year since former General Hospital heartthrob Robert Palmer Watkins (ex-Dillon Quartermaine) announced that he was taking leave from General Hospital to start work on a motion picture called Last Three Days. In case you were wondering what happened to that crowd-funded project, we now have an update.

An amped-up Watkins took to Twitter to announce that the first official teaser trailer for Last Three Days has been released, and, being the nice guy that he is, the actor offered fans a first look.

"IT IS HERE...a lot of you have been asking when my movie @lastthreedays is coming out! This summer baby," Watkins wrote with a promise that more details would be forthcoming.

Watkins plays the lead in Last Three Days, which is a neo-noir crime thriller he says is similar to Memento and The Butterfly Effect.

"I'm a cop in the movie. I get to do my own stunts, and shoot guns, and do hand to hand combat. It's just a really different type of role for me," Watkins shared last year.

The story follows Watkins' Jack, a straight-laced undercover cop who wants to be a real hero and everything his father was not. Jack's wife, Beth (Deborah Lee Smith), works late nights as a nurse and struggles to maintain their relationship as the strain of the couple's jobs begins to pull them apart. To make matters worse, Jack gets caught up in a crime syndicate that is flooding the L.A. streets with a new dangerous and mysterious mind-altering drug. After a sting operation goes wrong, Jack wakes up to discover that his partner has disappeared, his wife has vanished, and he's missing the last three days of his life.

As for whether or not GH fans can expect to see Dillon back on-screen? For right now, there is nothing to report other than a previous statement from ABC in November 2017 that Watkins remains on recurring status with General Hospital.
