Robin Scorpio left Port Charles to head off on a humanitarian mission. Now, some General Hospital fans are wondering if this is the last time they'll see actress Kimberly McCullough on-screen. McCullough made her GH debut in 1985.
The recent on-screen departure of Kimberly McCullough (Robin Scorpio) has once again prompted some General Hospital fans to speculate that the Emmy-winning actress is leaving the show.
Well, she is. Sort of.
McCullough is taking a break from the show, but the actress' on-screen presence will be missed for just three weeks. To accommodate the actress' time off, Robin will head to Africa on a humanitarian mission.

As first reported by Soap Central in March, in real life, McCullough is currently taking part in the American Film Institute's Directing Workshop for Women. The prestigious workshop helps aspiring directors learn more about the craft.
At the time, McCullough was quick to dispel rumors that her AFI workshop would bring about her permanent exit from General Hospital.
"I am not leaving the show," McCullough tweeted. "I will be tackling both at the same time."
McCullough joined the cast of General Hospital in 1985 at the age of seven. She left the show in 1999, but returned full-time in 2005. During her run on the ABC soap, she's won two Daytime Emmys.
