Nina has started anew on General Hospital, leaving a different world for Cynthia Watros to play in.
New Year's Eve spelled a new beginning for General Hospital's Nina Reeves, as everything imploded around her. The secret she had been keeping -- that she was the one who turned Drew and Carly in to the SEC for insider trading -- finally came to light.
Sonny was furious and soon divorced her, Willow decided she wanted nothing to do with her newfound mother, and even her friendship with Ava eventually ended. Nina had to pick up the pieces, put on a smile, and find a way to go on. After initially losing her job at Crimson, she got it back and forged ahead. That all led to the end of Cynthia Watros' life as she knew it on the GH set.
"I'm mourning not being able to see my friends anymore," Watros told FIRST For Women. "Even though it's just words on a page and you're playing a character, I miss working with them. When I see Maurice [Benard, Sonny] and Maura [West, Ava] on a totally different set, I'm like, 'I wonder what they're doing over there?' And I don't get to see Katy [MacMullen, Willow] a whole lot, and I just love her so much."

At least parts of Nina's new life include someone fresh -- Drew Cain, the man who blames her for his recent prison stint. He vowed revenge the moment he learned that Nina was the one who ratted him out to the Feds, but that hate soon turned to attraction, and the pair began having a purely sexual relationship that has been just that so far.
When Watros learned Nina would be having a love scene, she didn't think Drew would be her partner.
"They sometimes tell you you're going to have a love scene -- which means don't go to McDonald's for a while!" she said. "So Frank sweetly let me know and I thought, 'Oh, I guess Sonny and Nina get back together.' But then a little voice was like, 'You better text back, 'With who?'"
When she got her one-word answer -- "Drew" -- she wondered how that was going to work out, but it seemed to all flow when they began shooting Nina and Drew's first romp on her office floor. The turn of events even took fans by surprise. Could Nina and Drew's hate-sex relationship turn into something more?
"You never know," Watros admitted. "I'm just having a great time, whatever we have together. Because Nina's has never had a relationship like this. I mean, she's downright rude to Drew sometimes, and they're very raw with each other. I love it."
