Emmy winner Tyler Christopher was arrested last week in Southern California and charged with public intoxication. The actor pled guilty to similar charges in 2019.
Daytime Emmy winner Tyler Christopher (ex-Stefan Cassadine, Days of our Lives; ex-Nikolas Cassadine, General Hospital) was arrested in California last week and charged with public intoxication. It's the second time since 2019 that the actor has faced those charges.
At 8:40 p.m. on Friday, May 26, the 50-year-old actor was handcuffed and arrested at the Hollywood Burbank Airport for falling asleep at the airport, allegedly due to alcohol consumption. Bail was set at $250.
TMZ was the first to report the arrest.

Christopher had a similar arrest in 2019 when he fell asleep and urinated in the back of an Uber in Indiana. Christopher pled guilty to two counts of misdemeanor public intoxication and was ordered to pay a $440 fine. A judge denied requests from police that Christopher enter an alcohol treatment program. Requests that Christopher pay restitution to the Uber driver were also rejected.
Tyler Christopher joined the cast of General Hospital in July 1996. He exited the show in 1999 but returned in April 2003. He remained with the show through 2016, with the exception of a two-year break from 2011 to 2013, when he appeared on the primetime series The Lying Game.
In 1998, Christopher received an Outstanding Younger Actor Daytime Emmy nomination. In 2005 and 2006, he received nominations in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category. In 2016, he won the Outstanding Lead Actor trophy at the Daytime Emmys.
Christopher appeared as Stefan DiMera on Days of our Lives from 2017 to 2019. He received an additional Lead Actor nod for his work on the then-NBC soap.
Earlier this month, Christopher shared an Instagram post mourning the death of his longtime General Hospital co-star Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie Spencer).
"What a beautiful soul that will be missed here on earth. Jackie was one of my first mentors in General Hospital," he wrote. "She was a warm woman with a witty sense of humor. She embraced life. Sad day."
