Lane Davies knew someone very close to General Hospital co-star Kate Mansi
On General Hospital, Lane Davies' Fergus Byrne just revealed how far he went to ruin Alexis Davis' law career. Alexis, of course, is the mother of Kristina Corinthos-Davis, played by Emmy winner Kate Mansi. Now, Davies has his own reveal about Kate Mansi's real-life mom.
Davies admitted to Soap Opera Digest that he knew Mansi's mother before the 36-year-old actress was even born. In fact, they embarked on a romance and decided to hit Hollywood together.
"There's another little soap opera!" Davies said. "[My history with her] goes back more than 40 years because I go back with her mom to almost 50 years now."

The actor explained that he met Mansi's mom, Victoria Morris, when they were both doing theater on the East Coast. Davies was at the start of his acting career, and Morris was a dancer at the time but has since become a talent agent.
"We met in Providence [RI]. She was working in the box office and was a ballerina in Providence when I was a young buck in the acting company [at Trinity Square Repertory Company] with people like Richard Jenkins and Bruce McGill and Dan Von Vargen," Davies shared. "It was a really good regional company, and that's where Kate's mother and I met. We were an item for several years and we came out to Los Angeles together."
Although they were no longer romantically involved, Davies and Morris remained friends and ended up working together at a California-based theater company after Morris married and had children.
"I was around Kate and her sister when they were very little. But I went 30-something years without laying eyes on her," he told Digest. "I hadn't seen her, literally, since she was in diapers."
Davies and Mansi even have another connection -- a soap connection -- as they both had roles on Days of our Lives. From 1981 to 1982, Davies played Evan Whyland, who was once thought to be Sarah Horton's biological father. Decades later, Mansi became Abigail Deveraux, a role she assumed in 2011 and played off and on until 2020.
