Written by Jay Martel and directed by Christian Ditter, The Present follows Sweda, Shay Rudolph, and Mason Shea Joyce as three children who desperately want their separated parents (Fisher and Kinnear) to get back together.

As described by Deadline, one of the children is a brilliant little boy who discovers he can manipulate time using a magical family heirloom, which leads him to team up with his siblings to travel back in time with the hopes of changing his parents' destiny. As the siblings' schemes become more elaborate, they learn about family bonds and what they can and can't control.

After Sweda broke the news about his new gig, the young actor's GH mom, Lisa LoCicero (Olivia Falconeri), cheered for her on-screen child, sharing, "You go, TV son! You got this!"

Sweda made his acting debut with the role of GH's Leo, which he's been playing since August of 2021. The Present, which recently began production in Los Angeles, marks his second-ever acting job.
