Who's ready for Dante Falconeri to return to General Hospital? Get ready for the possibility, because portrayer Dominic Zamprogna says he can't wait to return to Port Charles.
General Hospital fans have been missing Dominic Zamprogna since he took Dante Falconeri off the canvas a little more than a year ago, and the good news is there is a chance that the actor may come back to Port Charles. He reveals that as soon as the production shutdown ends, he'd be more than willing to return to the ABC soap opera.
"Frank [Valentini, GH executive producer] knows I am ready to come home," the actor tells Soaps In Depth. "And I'd be totally open to a contract. There's so much potential with the character and the story right now. With everything they've done since Dante's been gone, there are so many options, and they'd all be fun to play."

As fans may recall, Dante was sent off on an undercover WSB mission in the summer of 2018. He made a couple of quick returns to Port Charles before shocking his wife, Lulu (Emme Rylan), with a request for a divorce. He then left town permanently to treat his issues with PTSD. Lulu was heartbroken after Dante's departure, but she eventually moved on with Dustin (Mark Lawson) -- which Dante probably won't like if he does make his way back to town!
Jokes Zamprogna, "Mark Lawson's kids and my kids go to the same gymnastics place. He came up and introduced himself, and I was like, 'So you're the new guy!'"
Jokes aside, the actor reveals that his plan "was never to disappear. Since last September, I started to really feel the pull back -- because GH is a huge part of my life. I called Maurice Benard [Sonny Corinthos] a couple of weeks ago and honestly, almost cried. I love that place, I love those people, and I love that job."
