General Hospital's Ava is doing a bad, bad thing. Will it take an act of Carly and Nina to bring her down?
General Hospital's three most formidable women are all now at odds. There was once a time when Ava and Nina were unlikely BFFs who would do anything to see Carly lose, but even Carly and Nina embarked on a tepid truce last year. Ava even spent Thanksgiving in Carly's home.
That all changed when Nina learned that Ava allowed her to sell the Metro Court to Jason, knowing Sonny now thought of Jason as public enemy number one. Nina thought she could score points with Sonny, but just the opposite happened. During their confrontation, Ava insinuated that Nina was desperate and pathetic, effectively ending their friendship.
Nina wasted no time telling Carly what had happened and warning her that she needed to keep her eye on Ava. While Carly doesn't want to ever take any advice from Nina, a woman she hates with the fire of a thousand suns, her ears did perk up with this information.

"She wants to shine, right? I mean, Carly's human, she wants to be like, 'Not only am I back, I'm better,'" Wright told Soap Opera Digest, regarding her character getting her hotel back. "But after Carly found out that Ava was the one who guided Nina into selling it to Jason, she said [to Nina], 'Ava stood right there and heard Sonny hate on Jason. So, there was no reason for her to think that this was going to work out for you.' So that was kind of a big deal."
It hasn't seemed normal to Carly that Ava has been living with Sonny, becoming one of his only confidantes. Now, it seems even more suspicious, knowing that Ava manipulated Nina, a woman who was supposed to be her best friend.
"She doesn't trust Ava for a moment," Wright previewed. "All the questions that anybody would have, we hit on them. I'm excited."
Does this mean that Nina and Carly might end their infamous "Granny Wars" and put those differences aside just to make sure that Ava doesn't ruin their mutual ex-husband's life?
Although their encounters have been fraught, Carly has been around Sonny much more than Nina of late and can tell he is acting off. Nina already thought it was unusual when Ava mentioned how much Sonny had been drinking when he was not supposed to mix his meds with alcohol.
Will both women realize that Sonny is off his meds and blame Ava? While Ava is not the person who changed Sonny's prescription, she does know he is taking a quarter of his regular dose, and she is keeping it a secret for her own selfish purposes. Seeing Carly and Nina on the same side to save Sonny could be just what GH -- and warring GH fans -- need to set this story right.
