It looks like General Hospital has given a red rose to The Bachelor's Nick Viall, having chosen him as the host of this year's Nurses Ball.
It's a good thing there'll be a lot of nurses at General Hospital's upcoming Nurses Ball, because a lot of swoon-induced fainting might be on the way; the ABC drama has tapped hunky Nick Viall, star of The Bachelor, to host the exciting event.
GH began throwing the charity gala in 1994 and now does so almost every year, giving its characters the chance to perform song and dance numbers that help raise funds and awareness for HIV and AIDS. The star-studded party begins with a red carpet extravaganza, which is where Viall will take center stage and interview the familiar faces from Port Charles.
According to TV Insider, production for this year's Nurses Ball begins today, April 23, and is set to air from May 16 to May 20 with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) once again acting as mistress of ceremonies.

As savvy viewers may recall, last year's song and dance highlights included Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) singing George Michael's Faith, a group rendition of Hallelujah led by ddy (Epiphany), and an inspirational speech from Robin (Kimberly McCullough), who has been living with HIV.
Viall had the starring role on the twenty-first season of The Bachelor after finishing as runner-up in two consecutive seasons of The Bachelorette. He has also competed on Dancing with the Stars.
