Adrienne Barbeau exits GH

Adrienne Barbeau has taped her final scenes at General Hospital -- at least for now. The veteran actress could very well reprise her role as Suzanne in the near future.

Adrienne Barbeau's (Suzanne Stanwyck) run in daytime has come to an end. The film and television star revealed via Twitter that she's taped her final scenes at General Hospital."Said goodbye to GH today," Barbeau wrote to her followers. "Worked with some lovely people and had a good time. Thanks to all the folks in Port Charles."

Barbeau first appeared on General Hospital in August 2010 as Suzanne Stanwyck, the head of a worldwide charity organization. Later, it was revealed that Barbeau's character was married to the infamous crime lord known as the Balkan. Before her GH role, Barbeau was well known for playing Carol Trayner on the popular seventies sitcom Maude.

There's no word on a final airdate, but there are already rumors that Barbeau could return to General Hospital in the near future.
