General Hospital has found its Levi, the character described in a casting call as zen, chill, and even a little shaggy.
Australian actor Zachary Garred has been cast in the recurring role of Levi, General Hospital has confirmed.
A casting call for Levi went out in February and described the character as "27-35, cute, appealing. New Age vibe. Soulful, zen, chill. More concerned with saving the planet than how he looks."
Levi will be featured in a story arc that is expected to play out over several months -- but there is always the possibility that it could be extended if the character is well-received by fans. While little has been revealed about the specifics of Levi's storyline, Soap Central has learned that Levi will cross paths with Maxie.

"Follow our new #GH homie @ZJGarred ! (He's pretty funny)," Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) told fans on Twitter.
Storms reported back to work earlier this month following her maternity leave. For more on Storms and Brandon Barash's (ex-Johnny Zacchara) little girl, click here.
Garred has quite a few television and film roles under his belt, but this will be his first foray into daytime television. He was a lead in the adventure series Foreign Exchange.
Garred, meanwhile, announced on Twitter that he will first air on April 3.
