General Hospital tribute to Sonya Eddy will include guest appearance by Yvette Nicole Brown

Sonya Eddy's real-life friend, actress Yvette Nicole Brown, will be part of a special episode dedicated to the late actress.

Yvette Nicole Brown is returning to daytime. The actress, who previously appeared on The Young and the Restless, will soon be making a guest appearance on General Hospital.

Though the details are scarce, TV Insider reports that Brown will be part of General Hospital's special tribute to Sonya Eddy (Epiphany Johnson). Brown and Eddy were long-time friends and met when they both auditioned for the same sitcom in 2003.

"[I] first met @sonyaeddy back in 2003 when we both were testing for the sitcom #TheBigHouse," Brown wrote on Instagram last year. "From that moment on she became a dear friend of mine. I collected her."

Eddy passed away on December 19 due to complications from surgery earlier in the month.

The special episode dedicated to Sonya Eddy is slated to air March 29.
