Incoming General Hospital star Tabyana Ali, who is taking over for Sydney Mikayla in the role of Trina Robinson, shares her thoughts on joining the ABC soap opera and promises "great magic" ahead.
Actress Tabyana Ali hasn't yet made her debut as General Hospital's Trina Robinson, but the actress shares that she has already received a very warm welcome from the show's fan base.
Shortly after news broke that she would be joining GH following current portrayer Sydney Mikayla's decision to exit the role so she could focus on school, Ali took to social media to share her excitement about her new job and the flood of positive comments she has received.
"I'm so grateful to have this opportunity!" the new GH star tweeted. "Thank y'all for the warm welcoming. I'm so happy to be in this position."

In addition to thousands of fans wishing the newcomer well, Mikayla jumped in to cheer Ali on, sharing heart emojis and an encouraging, "You got this!"
As Soap Central previously reported, GH executive producer Frank Valentini also shared his enthusiasm about Ali's addition to the cast. "We're excited to welcome Tabyana Ali and see what she'll do with the role of Trina," he said when the recast news broke.
And speaking of what the actress will do with the role of Trina, storyline details remain under wraps (as usual with GH!), but Ali did tease on Instagram over the weekend that "some great MAGIC is coming."
Sydney Mikayla will reportedly make her final appearance as Trina on Thursday, March 17, with Ali making her debut shortly after. Stay tuned to see what lies ahead for the character as this promising young actress steps into her shoes.
