Could Olivia Jerome's murder help bring TWO General Hospital characters back from the dead?

Could Olivia Jerome's murder help bring TWO General Hospital characters back from the dead?

It's starting to look like some very familiar faces are behind General Hospital's mob murders.

General Hospital is finally getting around to ramping up its mob hit storyline that started last summer at the Metro Court pool. We've had to wait more than half a year to learn that Sonny was indeed the intended victim, but the mastermind behind that shooting is now targeting other mobsters and claimed one victim -- Olivia Jerome. That brings us to Olivia's last victim before she was hauled off to Pentonville.

Olivia's last reign of terror included her planting a bomb in her brother Julian's car. Too bad an erratic Morgan got into that car and drove off because Olivia and Julian's sister, Ava, switched out his bipolar meds with placebos. While Morgan's family has been mourning him since 2016, no body was ever found, meaning Morgan could show up at any time.

With Olivia now dead and Sonny and Carly discussing her role in their son's alleged demise, it's not out of the realm of possibility that her death was a catalyst to reintroduce Morgan. Perhaps Olivia captured him and had one of her "employees" brainwash him into loyalty while she pulled the strings from prison.

Hearing that the person behind these mob hits is calling himself Stone set off alarm bells in Sonny's mind. It would be too obvious that this "Stone" is John ("Jagger") Cates, so who could it be?

Well, let's never forget that Morgan's middle name was Stone, as his moniker honored both Jason Morgan and the late Stone Cates. Could Morgan be going by his middle name as an operative for Olivia's crime syndicate? Maybe he decided to take over the entire operation and wanted her out of the way. If she brainwashed him to go after his family, it would make sense for him to be the one targeting Sonny since last summer.

Then again, Stone could also stand for Stone Cold, the name that Spinelli gave Jason years ago when they first met. While there's been no word about Morgan's return, we do know that Steve Burton and Jason will be back on the scene, so it's quite possible he is the one behind the mob hits. Sonny did say that the person who shot at him and Ava in Puerto Rico had to know the security system inside and out -- and Jason would certainly be someone in the know.

However, what if Jason and Morgan are in on all of this together? Sonny and Carly (especially Carly) are going to be thrilled when Jason makes his comeback, but it would be a dream come true for both of them if Morgan wasn't far behind.

What do you think? Could we be looking at Morgan's return? We want to hear from you -- so drop your comments in the Comments section below, tweet about it on Twitter, share it on Facebook, or chat about it on our Message Boards.
