General Hospital's Olivia Jerome is dead, but Tonja Walker has a problem with the way the soap handled her character's untimely death.
It looks like the end of an era for General Hospital's Jerome crime family, as one of its original members has been murdered. Olivia Jerome is the latest victim in a string of mob hits in Port Charles, but her death occurred off-camera -- something actress Tonja Walker isn't happy about.
"Looks like I died," the actress posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) in response to a post announcing Olivia's untimely demise. "Oh, what a rip! I wish we could have actually shot some great story but again, another missed opportunity... unless it's not. I guess you never know. It wouldn't be the first time."

While one fan declared that they wouldn't believe the news of Olivia's death until there was a body, by the next day, the woman believed to be Olivia was identified. Anna took one look at the body in the morgue and declared that it was indeed the woman who had kidnapped her back in 2017 and caused even more trouble for her back in the 1980s.
Once Walker learned that Anna was able to ID the crazed character, she was even more disappointed. When a fan asked her if she thought Olivia was really and most sincerely dead, she replied, "I have zero idea, but it would be fun to see the story and not hear it from the morgue, right?"
Walker also expressed how hurt she was that she didn't learn from the powers that be that Olivia would be killed off.
"It doesn't feel good to be disposed with, you know. Even if it's just a character I created. I loved her, especially the real her," she wrote on X. "The one I was before my brother killed me. The last stint was totally not Olivia, she'd gone way past that."
Walker began her daytime career on the ill-fated soap Capitol before creating the role of Olivia St. John (later Jerome) on GH in 1988. She is most remembered by soap fans for playing Alex Olanov on One Life to Live from 1990 until 2011.
