If you think GH is the best-written daytime drama, you and the Writers Guild of America have something in common.
Fans of General Hospital think the drama in Port Charles is nail-biting, and apparently the Writers Guild of America thinks so, as well. Over the weekend, the organization gave this year's award for best daytime drama writing team to the GH crew.
The ABC soap's writing team -- which consists of Anna Theresa Cascio, Suzanne Flynn, Kate Hall, Elizabeth Korte, Daniel James O'Connor, Elizabeth Page, Katherine Schock, Scott Sickles, Chris Van Etten, and head writer Ron Carlivati -- trumped the team on NBC's Days of our Lives, which was the only other daytime serial writing crew nominated.
