Ingo Rademacher brings Jasper Jacks back to GH

Ingo Rademacher just announced a huge surprise: now that he has wrapped his time as The Bold and the Beautiful's Thorne Forrester, he's continuing his legacy as General Hospital heartthrob Jasper "Jax" Jacks.

You know when you pop open a bottle of Champagne and that explosion of bubbly goodness comes gushing out, making everybody cheer? That's pretty much what a recent social media video posted by Ingo Rademacher was like: the fan favorite actor announced that he is reprising his role as General Hospital's Jasper "Jax" Jacks.

But the excitement doesn't stop there. The video post, which he captioned, "You might just want to watch this till the end," goes on to give fans a taste of what's to come once Jax is back in Port Charles.

"I'm coming back to General Hospital, and Jax's' legacy is going to continue in a big way," Rademacher teases in the clip. "See you soon!"

Rademacher originally took on the role of Jasper Jacks in January 1996 and played the character on-again, off-again until 2017. Shortly he left the ABC soap opera, it was announced that he had taken on the role of The Bold and the Beautiful's Thorne Forrester, which had previously been played by Winsor Harmon. However, just over a year into the role of Ridge's brother, Rademacher decided not to renew his contract with the fashion-themed soap opera, sparking rumors that he would be returning to GH.

So, just what will Jax's return to Port Charles mean for him and his family? As fans may recall, Sonny (Maurice Benard) found out that Jax and Carly (Laura Wright) had slept together, so he reported Jax to Immigration and got him thrown out of the country. Sonny later had the ban lifted to smooth things over with Jax and Carly's heartbroken daughter, Josslyn (Eden McCoy), meaning there's no longer an immigration situation to keep Jax away.

However, will Sonny regret his decision to allow Jax to walk back into his family's life? After all, Jax and Carly do have a long history together, and the couple's relationship may be the legacy Rademacher mentions in his return announcement video. Add on to that the fact that Sonny is rather distracted himself, being caught up in the "added spice" that new character Margaux Dawson (Elizabeth Hendrickson) has brought to his life, and there's a definite chance of trouble ahead for Carly and Sonny.

To find out what's ahead, be sure to keep tuning in to General Hospital, only on ABC.
