The surprises keep rolling out for GH's Fan February, the latest one being that two-time Emmy nominee and multi-soap favorite Rebecca has been cast as Sarah Webber.
Hot on the heels of the news that General Hospital fans have the chance to influence story during this year's big return of Fan February comes news that a firecracker is headed to Port Charles: former All My Children and Guiding Light star Rebecca .
The show has cast The Better Show host in the role of Sarah Webber, Elizabeth's (Rebecca Herbst) manipulative older sister. As fans might remember, Sarah (who was previously played by Jennifer Sky and then Sarah Laine) drove the-then-little Lizzie crazy when she dated both Lucky and Nikolas even going so far as to sleep with Lucky while he was dating Liz! Will she now set her sights on snagging Nikolas, despite the history he shares with her lil' sis? It looks like fans will have to wait and find out when first airs as Sarah later this spring.
The actress -- who gave birth to her first child, daughter Charlotte Jo Benson, last September -- has quite an impressive run on soap operas. ABC Daytime fans know her as the feisty yet lovable Greenlee Smythe, which she played on-again-off-again from 1999 through 2011. Her work on AMC earned her Outstanding Supporting Actress Emmy nominations in 2001 and 2003. CBS fans might remember her as Guiding Light's Michelle Bauer, which she played from 1997 to 1998.
At this time, there's no word on how 's new GH gig will affect her job as host of the syndicated talk show, The Better Show, from which she's been absent due to maternity leave.
