REPORT: Constance Towers returns as General Hospital's Helena Cassadine

Helena Cassadine is once again reaching out from beyond the grave! Constance Towers is reportedly reprising her villainous General Hospital character for February Sweeps.

Something wicked this way comes, and it's none other than devious General Hospital character Helena Cassadine. According to numerous reports, portrayer Constance Towers is set to reprise her role as the Port Charles terrorizer.

Though details surrounding the actress' upcoming return remain sparse, she is said to be briefly stepping back into the shoes of Helena during February Sweeps. The action-packed episodes were originally scheduled to air beginning Wednesday, February 5, but due to recent preemptions, they have been pushed back and will likely air next week or the week after.

Helena's appearance is rumored to be short, so it's likely that her return will be via flashbacks similar to her last appearance in August of 2019, when the character was integrated into the story detailing Drew (Billy Miller) and Shiloh's (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) past in Afghanistan. However, GH being a soap opera and all, one never knows what the future may hold.

Helena Cassadine made her first appearance on GH back in 1981, with Elizabeth Taylor in the role as a guest star. Towers took on the character in a full-time capacity in 1997 and has made frequent appearances in Port Charles over the years. The nefarious criminal met her end in 2016, but her reign of terror has continued from beyond the grave. In addition to her return last summer, Helena reappeared in a hallucination that haunted Jake during the 2017 Nurses Ball.
