As fans may recall, the last time Brenda was in Port Charles was for the show's 50th anniversary in 2013. She professed her love for Sonny (Maurice Benard) and asked him to move with her to Rome so they could start a new life together. Alas, he refused, telling the professional model the timing wasn't right for them to give their relationship another go. Could her reappearance change his mind, setting the stage for a Sonny/Brenda reunion?

Considering the brunette beauty has a history with both Sonny and Jason (formerly played by Steve Burton, now played by Billy Miller), time will tell what the future holds once she returns to Port Charles.

Marcil originated the role of Brenda in 1992. She played the feisty character until 1998, and then returned several times for short stints in 2002 to 2003 (for which she won a Daytime Emmy Award in the Supporting Actress category), 2010 to 2011 and again in 2013. In addition to her time in Port Charles, Marcil is known for her roles on several other television shows, including Queens of Drama, Without a Trace, Lipstick Jungle, Las Vegas, and Beverly Hills, 90210.

At this time, there's no information as to how long Marcil will be sticking around on the canvas, but here's hoping it'll be longer than her last four-week go-around.
