A teenage version of Ghost is coming to Paramount+, featuring Jeffrey Vincent Parise (ex-Simon Black, The Young and the Restless; ex-Carlos/Joe Rivera, General Hospital) alongside Joey King.
Daytime baddie Jeffrey Vincent Parise (ex-Simon Black, The Young and the Restless; ex-Carlos/Joe Rivera, General Hospital) is heading to the teen romance world in The In Between, a film that follows teens reviving their love from beyond the grave.
The supernatural project stars Joey King (sister of The Young and the Restless' Hunter King [ex-Summer Newman]) as Tessa, who, after bouncing around in foster homes for most of her childhood, doesn't believe she deserves her own love story. Everything changes after she has a chance encounter with Skylar (Kyle Allen), a senior from a neighboring town who's a true romantic. As Tessa's heart begins to open, tragedy strikes when a car accident takes Skylar's life.
As Tessa searches for answers in the aftermath of the accident, she soon believes Skylar is attempting to reconnect with her from the afterworld. With the help of her best friend and a newfound belief that love never dies, Tessa attempts to contact Skylar one last time, in order to give their love story the epic ending it deserves.
Parise announced that he was filming a role in The In Between in the spring of 2021, sharing at the time that Joey King is "insanely talented," Kyle Allen is "wickedly witty," and the film is "gonna be a good one."
The In Between will be released for streaming on Paramount+ on Friday, February 11, with rumors that it will also head to Netflix at some point in the future. Check out the teaser trailer for the film below and let us know what you think in our Comments section at the end of the article.
Jeffrey Vincent Parise played General Hospital twins Joe and Carlos Rivera from 2013 to 2016 and The Young and the Restless villain Simon Black in 2019. He also appeared on Days of our Lives in the roles of Detective Sullivan and Detective Dom Ohanion from 2007 to 2008. Some of his other credits include Supernatural, The Detour, and The Love Witch.
