Brooklyn Rae Silzer returns to General Hospital

Dreams do come true: General Hospital has welcomed back Brooklyn Rae Silzer in the role of Patrick and Robin's daughter, Emma Drake.

General Hospital fans aren't too thrilled about the preemptions that are keeping the ABC soap opera from airing as usual, but at least there's something extra special to look forward to once the schedule is back to normal: Brooklyn Rae Silzer is returning as Emma Drake!

The young actress broke the news of her upcoming return to Port Charles via Twitter, sharing, "Dreams come true! Thank you so much @GeneralHospital @valentinifrank for having me back."

Silzer first stepped into the shoes of GH's Emma in 2011 and played the role regularly until her Port Charles parents Patrick (Jason Thompson) and Robin (Kimberly McCullough) got married and moved to California in 2016. The actress has continued to make occasional appearances on GH, usually for Emma to visit her grandma Anna (Finola Hughes).

It's unclear what brings Emma back to Port Charles this time around, but fans are hoping she will share scenes with Nicolas Bechtel, who recently returned as Spencer Cassadine, and Violet (Jophielle Love), who she has yet to meet. Other fans are hoping that Emma's return means Kimberly McCullough may step back into the shoes of Robin, but the chances of that happening are slim, considering the actress announced her retirement from acting earlier this year.

Outside of GH, Silzer's credits include Christmas in Homestead, Code Black, and The Storyteller, which also starred GH veterans Kristina Wagner (Felicia Jones) and Constance Towers (Helena Cassadine).
